Epson MFi Series with Bluetooth/USB* - iOS App Approval Process

If you are developing an iOS App for an Epson MFi series POS printer with Bluetooth/USB*, it must be approved by Apple before it is made available in Apple's App Store or Apple's B2B App Store.

This does not apply for iOS applications for printers with WiFi connectivity.

To be approved by Apple, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Download Epson's ePOS-Print SDK for iOS Bluetooth/USB for Epson MFi series printer you are interested in:

  2. Enroll in Apple iOS Developer Program.
  3.
  4. After you develop your App, fill out Epson's online form called Application Information Sheet then click "Submit".
  5.
  6. Epson sends your Application Information Sheet to Apple.
  7.
  8. After Apple notifies Epson that the Application Information Sheet has been reviewed, Epson will notify you, usually within 5 business days. Epson will then provide you an Application Submitting Guide with a MFI PPID (Made for iOS Product Plan ID).
  9.
  10. Submit your App to the Apple App Store and enter the MFI PPID in the app metadata review notes field.
  11.
  12. Apple reviews and posts the App to the App Store within 1 to 2 weeks if Apple has no other concerns regarding the App. Apple will notify you when this is completed.

*USB connection is only supported on the TM-m30II, TM-m30II-h, TM-m30II-NT and TM-m50 printers.
